By virtually any metric, 2020 was a difficult year. The pandemic disrupted our daily lives in countless ways and created enormous economic strain. Very few businesses grew, much less thrived, yet MassMutual’s Worksite business did exactly that. Which is why we’re honored and humbled to have been recognized by Eastbridge Consulting Group as one of the voluntary sales growth leaders for 2020. This recognition is a testament to our people, the quality of our products, and our unyielding commitment to putting customers first and our dedication to live up to our corporate ethos to Live Mutual.

We offered important guidance and flexibility to our customers and extended grace periods on premium payments for those facing financial hardships. We expanded and enhanced our digital end-to-end platform that enabled enrollment for life insurance coverage in a fraction of the time, so that people could apply for and receive coverage even during the pandemic. And on April 15, 2020, we launched HealthBridge, a program that provided free term life insurance to frontline healthcare workers who risked their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic. Paying for this coverage is our way of thanking the thousands of healthcare workers who sacrificed so much for the rest of us.

As part of a 170 year old company, we’ve seen our share of challenging times. Through depressions, recessions, two World Wars and another pandemic over 100 years ago, we believe compassion, resilience and staying true to our values serves all of us well.

We are grateful to Eastbridge for recognizing our efforts but we have no desire to rest on our achievements. We intend to play a significant role in the category for decades to come by helping millions of people secure their future and protect the ones they love.
